You would think they would cancel all juniors and AA games except PL and SL and shift them to one of the artificial fields mentioned above. Time will tell
If it keeps raining this week i doubt we will be playing this weekend.
As i see it one of three things could happen.
1. Round is replayed midweek at a later date
2. PL and SL round is played at Christie, Pennant Hills, Epping
3. Round is lost
Can anyone shed light on what might happen
The association do leave PL and SL last to cancel matches, but I would expect common sense to prevail and shift games to synthetic fields early in the week. Should be easier to shift games today/tomorrow rather than first thing Saturday morning I'd imagine.
Would be very difficult to manage lost rounds and I would expect backlash to this. Some grounds hold/drain water better than others and clubs like Epping wouldn't have an issue with water logged pitches so why should they be disadvantaged from hosting games.
Epping will be lucky if the round is cancelled
Watched them play last week, terrible. As far as I could tell Not a single player from last season was there, At least they were competitive. Long season ahead.
Not sure how that will be managed effectively. If you cancel one, you have to cancel the lot and I can't see clubs accepting that if fields are open and playable.
