Good time to kick off the 2021 sh*t talking for the season ahead. How are teams shaping up for the year ahead? Doesn't look like too many teams have advertised for trials so we could be looking at similar squads to last year?
Would be good to get some trial match dates/results flowing in here to get an idea of how teams are faring. The GHFA cup is also due to kick off in a couple weeks.

Putney will look vastly different from last season
Agreed. Dragons were really the clowns of the forum for the last couple of years. The PL Forum will be absolutely loaded with comments (already is kicking on with the EPL discussion and the Epping relegation debacle)
I'm 70% certain that North Ryde will bomb out before the season starts.
The chat will be absolutely quiet this year. Theres one or two Putney, Thornleigh, Ravens, Pats and Redbacks guys that talk, the Colonel talking absolute garbage as he always does. Both EPP teams won't be chatting much at all. The PL boys not once spoke until the debacle happened at the latter end of the season. So unless the refs start to come on here and stir something, expect this to be a quiet season for this forum.
In terms of on the pitch quality, this all-in-all could be one of the worst SL seasons of all time. North Ryde, Roselea, U-17 EPP side, Northern HFC, Thornleigh are absolutely garbage. They are a stain on the league. If St Pat play like they did in the second half of the season, they should be promoted easily. Redbacks choking at the end of the season last year was embarrassing. Who knows how Ravens and Putney will go.
Prediction table:
1. St Pats
2. Redbacks
3. Epping
4. Ravens
5. Putney
6. Thornleigh
7. Northern HFC
8. Roselea
9. U-17 Epping
10. North Ryde (if they can make a squad)
A 10 team comp with a proper finals series would make things very interesting I think.
Any teams play any trial matches yet or are most clubs just hanging out for the GHFA Cup?
I expect the regulars to be at the top of the table: Redbacks, St Pats, Ravens and Putney.
Would also be good to see KFC keep more consistency with results, they did pull off some decent results toward the back end of last year.

You really think its the people at dragons who were posting all that stuff?
Just like Saints United the season before?
Gullible!
I know a couple of people from various clubs and ive heard this:
Ravens will be a similar squad
Redbacks will be some changes but not too many to the playing group
Putney lost pretty much all their better players
St. Pats will be almost the same as 2020
Thornleigh I dont know anybody so I dont know whats happening
HFC I dont know anybody so I dont know
Epping obviously have about 4000 players but who knows how strong
Roselea I dont know anybody
North ryde are confident but i have been told they will be in for a shock
From what I've heard, all the better SL players have picked up PL gigs.
GHFA should just do a combined competition of 14 or so teams and have probably the best top division in the state for an association.
HFC haven't changed their recruitment strategy for the last few years, I don't see them doing anything different this season.

Happy New Year you overgrown baboons.
Colonel ready to tear it up again in 2021 both on the forum and on the pitch.
We've training non-stop since the end of last season doing sprints up mona vale beach (bar those few weeks they locked the beaches down) every weekend.
St Pats the most plastic club in nwsfa send them to the granville comp

Cant blame anyone wanting to leave that mess of a club.
I wouldnt write off Roselea, heard they have recruited well from several premier league teams. Won their opening two trials too! First grade with a convincing 7-0 win.

7-0 against who? Scoreline doesn't mean much without factoring in the quality of the opposition.
442
Ymca rejects? Ha!
The entire club is made of rejects. They were relegated from both, premier league and super league comps. They are all rejects. And the rejects that went across to Roselea did not play for the ymca last season.
442, the winning formula

Correct. Half of the YMCA team have formed into an AA/1 North Epping Rangers team and the other half are taking the year off.

A lesson to all clubs to look after your teams/players or they might just all leave...
Oh gosh, are Ravens going to be as trash as they were before?
Who is even coaching the club? The club needs a shake up, they were such a competitive club before with a good coach, now just a bunch of 'friends' playing together
Might as well move to AA
why did it have to be redbacks? why couldn't it have been st pats they belong in the granville comp along with their shirts that are 4sizes too small. I'm going to miss playing at view street one of the great grounds in nwsf second only to fortress santa rosa.

Shock: 'friends' playing football together!
.... sounds like written by a bitter ex-Raven who was dropped because they couldn't just, well, 'fit in'. Or maybe they are playing for some other reason. Might as well move to NPL... Oh sorry, can't.
Getting promoted to PL is a very hard task, even harder in a 9 team comp.
It comes down to the draw and how they are all placed with injuries suspensions etc.

Not to sound cocky, but the comp is basically a shoot out for who comes 2nd.
