A pre season (2 weeks out) association PL side against a 6th (16) place, 7 rounds into their season, League 1 side was always going to be one sided. WRR had some good patches and despite the score, did well under constant attack. Not one NWSFA PL side would have faired any better against Rydalmere other than perhaps conceding less... by the odd goal... if they were fitter. Good effort WRR.

Come on TG, let's not exaggerate. That was Lions' near full 1st grade for the 1st half. I've had them this season so recognise their side. They did throw on some of their 18s 2nd half one of which was a GK, but why wouldn't you with a 7-1 HT score line. Oh, I would say still well outplayed Rover. Yes fitness played its role, but WRR no match for ball speed, ball movement, player speed or execution. At that level, their movement and ability to break lines or overload against an association side is no surprise. Loading Jayden early didn't help either. Throw in some pretty decent finishes amongst those first 7 too. Was good to see WRR still compete to the final whistle though.
If you're getting outplayed. Just take it on the chin no need to come on here and give us excuses. At the end of the day no one cares and if a random person is getting you upset with one comment then there's bigger issues to fix
Guys, fair play to WRR. Reality is we're park footballers. These NPL sides/league 1/2 sides get paid to play, imand in the cup when playing under 20s players even it makes it trickier because for those guys they're often debuting in first grade and wanting to prove they deserve to be there, regardless of who lined up it's always going to be a tough fixture. Juices point of two weeks out from the season vs being in red 7 is a huge difference too, sometimes when you get a draw like that you've got to take it for what it is, an exercise in fitness and getting prepped for a big season ahead.
yeah we've (Dragons) had fortunate draws to play other association teams but, still gotta turn up and beat them to get the big names in the next round.
keen on the draw and the start to the PL season, a lot of teams looking really sharp in the preseason, gonna be super competitive this year!

Did that last Cup champ, 4-1 against Inter Lions but appreciate your 2 bobs worth nonetheless.
