Lost his spot as the leagues top scorer too

Haven't played normo yet but watching them on Saturday I can say they are garbage.

excuses
wrote on 12-Jul-22 13:46

i love how when rovers were up there after the first 4 or 5 rounds everyone said oh theyve only played the easy teams theyll be in the bottom half at the end of the round.

the after the first round they were still up there and everyone still said they were lucky/couldnt keep it up

now with 5 games to go the only excuse is that they havnt played 5th place normo yet. a team with a horrible ressies and therefore no squad depth which is only going to get worse as the season goes on.

i guess its the same as last year with everyone picking on the dragons for winning a shortened season that they had no control over(even though it was obvious that they were starting to slip after a great start).

Talk it up
wrote on 12-Jul-22 17:24

We all know that WRR were the ones coming in here and talking themselves down to take the spot light off themselves.

Well it worked, now you just have to make sure you collect more than WPH over the next 5 games to win the comp.

I don't know if you can do it, but if you do you will be deserved champions.

WRR is one of the biggest clubs in the comp but never won PL in 45 yrs - never even got close. It's now or never

Calling it now. WRR will win the premiership by 6 points at least. Too clinical and things have just clicked this season for them and they're playing some good football, don't see WPH keeping up and closing the gap with the lull in results recently.
with  STA, Normo x 2, Dragons and Hawks to go I can't see them losing any of those games and maybe dropping 2 points with a draw along the line.
As opposed to WPH who have RSU, EEW, Penno x 2 and dragons to finish I can't see them gaining the ground.

45 years is a long time to wait so let's see if they have what it takes to break the drought!

WPH clearly have an easier draw than WRR. Normo x2 is harder than Penno x2, both play dragons, then STA & Hawks is harder than RSU (bottom) and EEW.

Not saying they'll catch WRR, but you've got the draw analysis all wrong.

youre not taking into account teams battling to avoid relegation

penno and rsu are going to be going all out to scrape together points these last few rounds

The future
wrote on 15-Jul-22 07:12

It really depends on where they are playing.

Sta at Eastwood is a task and a half!

Boronia is a tough place to get points, so is Harris road.

it would be good to see rovers win, but I can't see it happening.

one slip up and if Kane fires for wph then their goal difference will be completely the reverses.

wrote on 15-Jul-22 10:06

WRR will not slip up, too much on the line. Even if they do lose one it puts them level on points but rovers have been scoring goals for fun this season so even level on points they will have a much better GD. WPH haven't been in a position to chase a team down (apart from last season lol) in a while so not sure they'll have the goods this time around. Will be an interesting GF though, 2-2 aggregate after both legs so it's anyones guess on the day.

Don't forget that EEW and Penno have the best defensive record after rovers and west penno. They may not be pushing for the premiership or even finals for that matter but they know how to grind out a draw or a gritty 1-0 win. Enough to spoil any chance of a fight back.

Lots of time left, don't let your hubris blind you. WRR will dispose of the lowly Normo outfit thisafternoon and stretch the goal differential further while they're at it.

You'll be quoting my original post in a months time eating your own words!

He goes by the name Richarlison de Andrade, absolute beast of a player, scores goals for fun, is a work horse when pressing, has more swaz tekkaz than neymar and Ronaldinho put together, but best of all, he is the sexiest man you'll ever meet.
