So looking at the rain forecast for the next week, it's looking like it's going to rain till next Friday.

So there is little to no chance we are going to play next weekend, esp if they have cancelled this weekend.

Which means, that there will be no finals this year AGAIN and it's simply 1 v 2 in the Grand Final.

Surely this isn't the case for PL and SL?

Surely they can play a full finals series on the synthetic pitches this year?

ie a 3 round finals series:

R1 (1v2, 3v4)

R2 (LOSER 1v2 vs WINNER 3v4)

R3 Grand final.

I'm not sure if the Association read this, but as a player it would be amazing to have this in place for the 2022 season.

Fingers crossed.

Nothing to play for

So what you are saying if they go to a 1v2 in the finals, the only teams in the hunt are really WPH,WRR and Dragons.

So as long as your first grade arn't going to get relegated which is really between Penno, North Epping, Ryde Saints and possibly Hawks, then you have nothing to play for.

So STA, Normo, Epping Eastwood have literally nothing to play for apart from pride.

Surely this can't be right. there is still 6 games to go in firsts and up to 8 in ressies.

It's over for everyone in first grade except west penno and rovers.

Eew are still in it in ressies

If this is true

Relegation is still up for grabs, but if there are no finals, there is nothing for any ressies team to play for.

As long as the 18 games are played in firsts, relegation is real.

Finals are up to Dave Cooper

Sposed to rain all week as we all know.

Wouldnt it be fantastic if they told PL and SL on Wednesday where and when everyone is playing this weekend

I heard if the next 2 weeks get called off they care cancelling the rest of the season and giving the trophies to who ever is on top. No relegation either.

If no relegation, St Pats must be praying with sacrificial lambs to the Sun Gods then.

How can you say that north epping are the shittest team when we have taken points off other teams.

Next year will be a lot better with these two pelicans gone and the club in talks with the big maan to come back.

who?

From NWSFA facebook

Changes to Competition Structure for 2022

NWSF has recently conveyed to all Clubs that the following changes have been made to the competition structures for 2022.

These changes will be reflected in the most recent version of the Competition Matrix which will help provide some transparency around how the season will look to unfold https://www.nwsf.com.au/nwsf-calendar.html

The changes which have been implemented are as follows:

All Miniroos (Under 6 to Under 11) will be extended 1 week to provide an extra round of games.

The Mixed Age Divisions will now have their last round on Saturday the 20th of August 2022 and the Girls Age Divisions will have an extra round on Sunday the 21st of August 2022.

All Youth competitions (Under 12 to Under 21) will have their Grand Finals pushed back 1 week in order to play another round prior.

The Mixed Age Divisions will now have their Grand Finals on Saturday the 27th of August 2022 and the Girls Age Divisions will have their Grand Finals on Sunday the 28st of August 2022.
All Senior competitions (All Age and Overs competitions) will have their Grand Finals pushed back 1 week in order to play another round prior.
The Mixed Age Divisions will now have their Grand Finals on Saturday the 27th of August 2022 and the Women's Age Divisions will have their Grand Finals on Sunday the 28st of August 2022.
Round 8 was a washout for several of the 10 team mixed competitions will be scheduled for the Saturday the 13th of August.  This round was chosen as it is was after the regrading process that occurred the week prior rather than rounds 1 or 2.
The Female and Mixed Masters and Mixed Over 45 Div 1 Competitions, will now have a further complete round of games in the lead up to their Grand Final on Friday 26th of August 2022.

NWSF hopes you enjoy the remainder of the season and trust that the wet weather will not hang around for the remainder of the season.

This doesn't address PL/SL

I'm assuming it will be pushed back as they will have access to all grounds(synthetic) in the association.

When we play only Firsts this weekend, will the corresponding Ressies game be played later on?

That would mean some clubs will have 3 catchup Ressies games

Ressies might have a chance of playing this weekend. Looks pretty clear for the next few days.

You obviously have no idea. The vast majority of these grass fields will need minimum 1 week of zero rain just to be playable

I've just received dribl notification for my son's game in Hills comp as off so I dare say regardless of weather from now to the weekend, councils will have all grass fields out. Enjoy the weekend boys unless some games can get on at synthetics.

You’re welcome

Wonder if the penno first grader from ressies last week will be playing

could be ok
wrote on 08-Jul-22 09:35

If it doesn't rain till KO, that would be 3 days of clear weather.

Not sure if it will be enough to dry the grounds out, but it's got to be close.
