The annual post about referees comes this time of the year every season.

Personally, don't think the reffing has been heaps great nor heaps bad. Most weeks you get your standard performance and maybe that's because we haven't had Juice or Grant referee us this seasons who imo are the refs' associations stand out referees so everyone else looks pretty average.

stop being disrespectful to the refs. they have done a superb job, and deserve more credit that they recieve. its not easy taking abuse from dickheads on the sidelines, especially the Putney team which is filled with softies

Gotta agree that Putney are the worst team when it comes to respect of refs particularly the coach.

I think video footage of games has helped with keeping refs accountable for decisions that get made which means you can see the extra effort to ensure big decisions are being done properly

You say that but we had a red card incorrectly given and the ref realised after watching the footage and tried to advocate for the player to not be sent off. Fell on deaf ears cause of some random by-law

Viewed afterwards maybe but hardly impacts any ref during. They're not exactly going oh so better not make a certain choice because of camera. They ref the same in a game regardless.

Tend to agree that the reffing has been pretty good this season. Enjoyed having alot more younger refs ref more games this season whether thats ressies or firsts.

Saying that old timers aren't getting worse. In fact some have become a little bit more easier to talk to than previous seasons.

Depends on whose having a bad day
